Science and sound evidence have been the foundation, as she has spent the last 18 years focusing on ways to support her clients return to health and wellness by offering different tools for stress management. Weaving together the havening techniques, massage therapy and yoga.
As a Registered Massage Therapist, with her BSc. Biology, she utilized the time in independent study focusing on the biology of stress on the body, as well as biology of addiction, studying Dr. Robert Sapolsky and Gabor Maté. As a 750 RYT yoga teacher, Candace has continued her education on physiology and the nervous system, and ways yoga can help with Dr. Bo Forbes and Dr. Kelly McGonigal. As much as all of the tools she has brought in are based in science, she loves to dance between evidence-based science and the great mystery.
