Tammie Pipkin worked in equine assisted therapy as a Certified Therapeutic Equine Instructor in Northern California for over 10 years.  She worked side by side with licensed clinicians in a wrap-around program using horses to carry out treatment plans with children suffering for many types of issues including PTSD, anger, mood disorders, anxiety, Asperger’s, and many others.  A common thread was abuse and the inability to properly communicate.  The horses were a great way to help these children learn to better thrive in life.  Tammie created a program to bring the parents of these children in so appropriate communication skills were brought into the home.  This program was extremely successful, working in 5 locations throughout the county helping many children and their families.  When the program was closed due to budget issues in California Tammie moved to the local Juvenile Hall as a corrections officer to follow the youth the program had been serving who were now without services and ended up in custody.

Tammie left Juvenile Hall after her husband retired from law enforcement with complex PTSD. They had started a dog training facility and began training service dogs for others suffering symptoms of PTSD.  A local Havening Practitioner came to donate her time to help the participants of a service dog placement training they were conducting.  She demonstrated how Havening Techniques work by doing a short session with Tammie’s husband.   In less than an hour and the worst of his triggers were gone.  At the end of the session, he looked 10 years younger.  At that time Tammie knew she needed to learn to use this to help the people who they work with.  Tammie is very caring and compassionate and she’s intuitive about how to guide people through the process of healing using Havening Techniques.

Tammie and her husband now operate a large dog training facility in Jacksonville, Florida offering many services:  Post Traumatic Stress Injury and Anxiety Response Service Dogs are a part of what they offer.  She offers help to anyone working with a service dog, or anyone looking to clear the sources of their triggers and obtain a more peaceful mindset.  Living life comfortable with who you are and looking forward with a positive outlook is within your reach now.
