I am honoured to have found my highest purpose, thus far, as a certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner.  It complements a decade of coaching, NLP and training and 2 decades of social work, specialising in protecting people from adult abuse, mental health and leading professionals.

I deeply care about all of my clients, and work diligently to help them achieve their desired outcomes. Since 1998, I have worked with a variety of personal and business clients dealing with the simple to the complex range of circumstances, social and health conditions. This has given me a unique wealth of experience and confidence when working across a variety of workplace environments, social complexity, limiting beliefs and ‘dis-ease’.

I have used Havening Techniques® to help people lift the following conditions, leaving them feeling happier, ‘lighter’ and greater wellbeing: insomnia, persistent worry, disturbing night terrors, severe hayfever, social anxiety, early childhood trauma causing relationship issues, severe anxiety due to historical domestic violence, weight loss issues, chronic pain due to serious accidents, bereavement/depressive symptoms, sibling rivalry, autoimmune symptoms.

I am committed to: helping people tap into their potential and wellbeing; using their own resources to heal and release themselves from their past trauma’s; high quality person centred care; lifelong personal and family learning, achievement and joy.

I look forward to hearing from you if you:

  • are a family member or carer finding it a challenge caring for a person with disabilities or mental health needs.
  • have excessive or persistent anxiety or worry about anything and had enough of it.
  • have been trying to get more sleep for sometime and nothing else has worked or experiencing disturbing dreams.
  • have had enough of your hayfever and would like to stop having to rely on medication.
  • have a hunch that a difficult upbringing might be having a negative impact on your life and capacity to develop yourself and your career.
  • have a fear of doing something that you’ve been wanting to overcome for sometime.
  • are experiencing an autoimmune condition and willing to consider the possibility that letting go of unresolved emotions and stress may help to reduce its severity.
  • have had an accident resulting in physical injury and pain and willing to consider that part of the pain is driven by unresolved emotion.
  • have had a history of being picked on for your weight and now keen to let go of pent up emotions about this to help achieve your weight goals.
  • you and your partner are arguing lots, due to recuring themes, and your willing to consider that by each of you letting go of your own unresolved emotions you may experience greater harmony.
  • children who are arguing all the time and keen to kick start greater levels of harmony between them.
  • have had a history of domestic abuse, no longer with your partner and are keen to empower yourself from the trauma endured, so you can move on with your life.
  • are aware of an incident in your childhood or family breakdown that’s affecting your relationships.
  • have had a bereavement or divorce and stuck in feelings of anger, guilt, depression and keen to promptly move through these stages of grief, giving yourself permission to move on with your life.

Social Anxiety

The results have been pretty amazing. After a Havening session with Jan there was hugely less emotional ‘negative charge’ around a certain past event, and also around present situations that may usually trigger negative experiences and feelings such as anxiety, fear or anger. In this way I realize that havening is a great tool to help do the essential work of forgiveness of self and others and ‘letting go’, that is necessary for moving forward and creating new and more positive things for ourselves in our lives. Through the havening I have been able to identify limiting, unhelpful beliefs that I have been holding on to for many years, that basically rule parts of my life and the way I see it and the world, and certain experiences, and release them(although it felt like they released themselves really), which makes space for new ways and beliefs to be born. Then through creating and practising affirmations and visualisations, I create more the life I want to see, live and love, and the me I want to be. KV

Excessive worry cause night terrors

I was introduced to the ‘havening’ method by a Jan who suggested the technique could rid me of bad memories that were the consequences of traumatic accidents that had occurred earlier on in my life. I found the process extremely soothing and was surprised that (over a period of sessions) although I could retrieve the memory, it definitely no longer caused me the same anguish. I found that returning to this process concerning other worries, I was able to gain considerable fortitude and peace of mind from the process. Indeed I still practice on my own and after a taxing day before going to sleep. The ‘havening’ process seems to put crowded worries and unpleasant incidents into perspective and it is my belief that it can genuinely help people to be more serene and generally happier in their everyday life. With many thanks to Jan for introducing me to the ‘havening’ technique! It has been a gift. AK

Pain management

I was involved in a car accident that left me with life changing injuries. I was physically, emotionally and psychologically affected by the immediate negative impact just one moment had had on my life. 2 sessions of Havening helped to speed up the healing of my arm (which was paralysed for some months) but more importantly and most pleasing was the impact it had on my psyche, you see, unlike my usual self, the accident made me very angry with the perpetrator. I was always so angry that she managed to turn my life upside down in a moment of carelessness, my business, which was set to exceed it’s first year profits, started to fail and this woman was the cause of it all. Over the period of the 2 sessions, which were on Skype from the comfort of my own home, and I applying self Havening daily, it helped me to manage that anger even further and after two weeks, I didn’t feel it anymore. I knew that overcoming this anger was my way to healing quicker. I would and do recommend Havening to anyone who wants to heal holistically. SB

Sleep

I would like to thank you for the Havening sessions you provided. I was surprised what a positive difference it has had on my sleeping pattern, which is much improved. Prior to havening I found it very difficult to get to sleep, I would wake many times during the night and have negative thoughts on my mind. I am now able to go to sleep quickly and if I wake, I am able to get back to sleep easily without the negative thoughts. I found the sessions with you allowed me to speak freely and I was able to open up about deep rooted issues which I rarely discuss and this has helped me accept situations. JW
