Growing up in Germany, becoming a nurse and moving to New Zealand more than 20 years ago with my husband, four children, dog, and all was - and still is - a fantastic adventure. I enjoy gardening, art, and motor biking in the wop wops.
I have always been interested in listening to and engaging with people and after moving to the Wairarapa, in 2019 I co-founded The Ruth Project Wairarapa, being with families in perinatal distress.
Depression and anxiety are often an expression of trauma and this led me to train in Havening. Also known as Delta Wave Technique, Havening is a neuroscience-based trauma therapy that explores and treats any underlying trauma with kindness, tenderness, humour, and imagination.
Our mind and our body are truly spectacular; there is a whole world under our skin with complex systems to explore. It can be a beautiful, a sad and a hidden world, a world to examine and adapt for a healthier life.
I am open to whatever you want to work at.
