The Havening Techniques® are a new ground-breaking Neuroscientific Technique, that uses sensory touch to permanently remove the negative feelings associated with a distressing event. As a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner, I will teach you how to apply the self-Havening Touch, a transformational, therapeutic tool that uses gentle self-touch to the face, hands or arms.
My first experience of using the Havening Techniques® made it possible for me to cross a bridge I had previously avoided or had to U-turn after many failed attempts to cross. My friend could see my disappointment and distress and asked if I would like to try the Havening Touch to help me overcome my fear. Within 5 minutes I was able to walk over the bridge with ease and confidence, to my amazement, my anxiety had disappeared. I wanted to learn more.
I am qualified in a range of techniques, I have studied Humanistic integrative therapies, completing a Counselling degree in 2014. I am currently a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (MBACP). All BACP members commit to working in accordance with the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (www.bacp.co.uk) as part of their terms and conditions of membership. Safeguarding the wellbeing of clients is paramount, providing a safe and confidential space to facilitate the opportunity for personal change. I a have Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, an Education and Training qualification and am a Mindfulness instructor. Having Incorporated each modality in a Body and Mind Wellness Programme.
I see the Havening Techniques, as a powerful tool for encouraging positive change, adding a significant and complimentary impact to my own therapeutic practice. Each session is person-centred and client led, focusing on meeting the needs of the individual and what feels right for them. I have found The Havening Techniques® makes change possible, creating the opportunity for positive and personal growth which can take place when using a resilient framework to address persistent negative emotions without the need to revisit and reinforce self-sabotaging beliefs.
