I trained with Mark Wingfield in January 2023, after completing a MSc in Psychology. I have worked in front-line services for over a decade and have a vast experience of the traumas that people are exposed to, coming from a disadvantaged background with experiences of homelessness and personal trauma has guided me to the path of enabling young and old to reach their full potential. Experiencing these obstacles has given me good foundations to show that anything can be overcome. Havening has enabled me to put my knowledge into practice regarding Psychology.
I am qualified in CBT and have some counselling experience, but Havening is so easy to implement and is very person-centred which is why I undertook this training. I still work in Accident and Emergency and am a trainee nurse in the British National Health Service. The overall aim is to be a practitioner to enable people to live a life everyone deserves and give them the tools to complete this. I have supported people as a life coach, which involves enabling them to develop strategies to cope with life-changing events. The skill I possess is breaking down people's barriers to the fear of the unknown, supporting them to develop resilience and confidence in pursuing their goals.
Although PTSD and anxiety are my areas of interest, I have enabled people to manage trauma, substance misuse, abuse, anxiety, grief, loneliness, and lack of confidence and build resilience. I aim to help people process whatever life throws at them, big or small, and show the importance of life balance and psychological health.
