Like most human beings, I have found myself in challenging circumstances and experienced trauma. This inspired me to dive deeply into my own healing while also undertaking my professional training as a psychotherapist. Over the years, I have studied various integrative trauma-informed modalities that can enhance and support a journey toward wholeness and a more fulfilling life.
Among the most favorite tools in my toolbox are the Havening Techniques. I have found them to be gentle, versatile and flexible in their application, yet powerful, and remarkably effective. While certainly not everyone feels comfortable with therapeutic approaches that involve self-applied touch, those who do have expressed amazement and gratitude for the effectiveness of this modality.
My specialties include PTSD, Complex PTSD, Developmental Trauma (Childhood PTSD), Family Scapegoating Abuse, Support for Cult Survivors, Grief, Disenfranchised Grief, Loss, Loneliness, Isolation, Chronic Illness & how all the above can impact every facet of our lives, including our work, family, intimate relationships, friendships and, most importantly, the relationship with ourselves.
Working with trauma survivors is a calling for me. Being a witness to my clients' healing journey is a gift I cherish. My perspective is informed by a humanistic, bio-psycho-social, relational, transpersonal, and compassionate understanding of our world and a longtime practice of mindfulness.
Thank you for reviewing my short introduction. I welcome you reaching out to me and will be delighted to work with you.
Warmly,
Irene
