I offer a trauma-informed, compassion-based, judgment-free, safe healing space where a client and I can together address specific concerns and goals.

After teaching college writing and later, creative writing workshops, I began working in mental health, working with in-patient groups, where I provided educational and calming activities in a psychiatric hospital. While here, I began my training in mind-body approaches to understanding and managing stress and increasing resiliency, starting in 2014. During the pandemic, I was introduced to Havening Techniques and completed my certification in 2022. I primarily draw from the mind-body science of stress and resiliency, the function of positive and negative emotions/positive psychology, mindfulness, and breathwork when I work with clieants as their Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner.

What would make your life more enjoyable?

Many people suffer from unhelpful self-talk, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and distressful emotions or emotional reactivity, which often originate from negative or traumatic events or circumstances earlier in our lives. Those cause us to develop beliefs about ourselves and automatic actions--strategies for dealing with stressful or fearful things--that eventually no longer serve us well. They get in the way of showing up as our best. A traumatic event or a series of them—even if we no longer remember or think about them consciously anymore-- is often the source of a phobia, and along with unhelpful beliefs and sustained stress can also cause or worsen physical pain, weaken our immune system, and obstruct or slow healing.

Typically I work with a client online and gently guide them toward shifting unhelpful self-concepts and many other transformative goals as they apply the havening touch. I typically utilze various havening techniques, adjusting in response to the client's goal and needs that day. I may share some of the science behind other mind-body modalities so they can feel comfortable using both havening and other suggested modalities on their own as well. Always I aim to help my clients increase emotional resilience so that they can become more capable for handling new challenges life inevitably presents, and gain a sense of empowerment and agency in their own healing process and in how to bring forth their best self.

Located in the Metro-West Boston, MA USA region, I work primarily online and can accommodate most English-speaking clients throughout North America. I have also worked with people from Western Europe, Mexico and even New Zealand, helping them improve educational and work performance, prepare for success in upcoming events or performances, address traumatic event-originated fear/phobias, distress, and pain, assisted them in building/rekindling a sense of play, and led them to experience morehope, courage, self-confidence, , self-compassion, energy and other positive, resilience-building emotions.

Allow me to guide you toward your healing or other goals, empower you in your own mind/body health improvement, distress relief, self-care and personal growth.

From past clients:

"In my session, we focused on my fear about speaking up in meetings. Elisa was very warm and sincere, and I felt in safe hands. I loved the visual distractions she used during. She helped me delve deeper into the issue, uncovering my 'people pleasing' tendency, which was spot on! Afterwards, I felt very calm and focused, and we had a helpful final discussion. Elisa is a fantastic Havening practitioner; I highly recommend her." --Jackie, Scotland

"Elisa used vivid imagery and other techniques to help me address some childhood trauma. I was impressed at how fast we could dive into powerful emotions and then quickly shift them. I felt validated, understood, and much better after. I recommend Havening Techniques®, and Elisa in particular. Working with her was a beautiful, helpful experience." --Roman, USA

I had a powerful Havening experience with Elisa! We were part of the same Havening Techniques® training course, and one time Elisa offered to do a session with me. All I can say is, “Wow!” She was extremely warm, yet very professional. I knew from the start that I was in capable hands. We addressed a work-related concern: I run multiday trainings, and one was coming up. The havening process was soothing, comforting, and had a real impact. I clearly saw and felt the benefit the very next day when I began facilitating my training and felt clear, calm and centered—exactly what I’d havened about feeling as we’d wrapped up our session. I’m so grateful to Elisa for helping me be my best self so I can continue to help others." --Gwen, USA

"I love working with Elisabeth. She is full of compassion, empathy, very supportive, a good, attentive listener, and a wonderful person. We worked with Havening on my fears of elevators and highway driving. Although English is not my first language, I felt we connected deeply. We uncovered the deep origins of my phobias over a total of 3 sessions. Elisabeth even facilitated a session related to my deceased father, which played a big part in solving these fears. Since then, I continue to use havening on my own to calm my mind whenever needed. I have used elevators successfully, and even driven in big cities! I feel Elisa’s supportive energy and imagination as I recall our sessions and continue using the method in many ways on my own." --Mara, Germany
