I am a trauma counsellor, advocate, and social worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through the challenges and adversities of life. I approach my work with compassion, cultural awareness, and an understanding of how trauma can affect the nervous system, emotions, and overall wellbeing. I am genuinely interested in supporting recovery, enhancing quality of life, and working collaboratively towards each individual’s goals to cope more effectively with the impacts of trauma.
As someone from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, with lived experience of gender inequality, I bring a reflective and culturally responsive perspective to my practice, recognising how social and cultural contexts shape experiences of trauma and recovery.
I use Havening Techniques alongside other trauma-informed approaches to help create a sense of safety, calm the nervous system, and support the healing process.
