Bill Solz is a licensed clinical social worker and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor who has also been the director of Stress Solutions of New York for more than 30 years. During this time he has been working with children, adolescents, and their families where he has specialized in promoting stress reduction, addressing addictions, trauma, and parenting concerns. He is also certified in anger management and domestic violence. Four years ago he was on the ground floor of the initial trainings in Havening. He has since become the 17th person, worldwide, to become certified in Havening, and has also particpated in succeeding trainings as a workshop presenter and assistant.

While Bill has always believed in "different strokes for different folks" he has come to specialize in other treatment modalities like EMDR, Thought Field Therapy, and the Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy. At this juncture Havening has become the primary staple of his practice. This is due to its ability to provide his clients with quick symptom relief and comprehensive healing. In addition, it serves as a powerful, user friendly, self emotional regulation technique.

In 2013, Bill was selected as Nassau County's "Social Worker of the Year", by the National Association of Social Workers. He now has offices in New York City and Garden City. He is also a former school social worker where he served more than 26 years in that capacity in the NYC Department of Education, and adjunct college professor at Adelphi. At this juncture he is also the clinical supervisor of Operations Initiative which addresses the post traumatic stress that has affected our veterans. He is also actively involved on the steering committee of the Mid Island Clinical Connection, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Volunteer Center. He is also a recognized workshop presenter authorized by NASW and OASAS to provide continuing ed hours for colleagues. In addition, he is actively involved as a consultant by providing workshops in the work place related to stress reduction, improved productivity, and parenting.
