We all carry traumas from the past. It's called life..! Just being a human being... Some of these are relatively trivial. But some of the things that happen to us are absolutely devastating and can be crippling physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. If left untreated, they often tend to get worse with the passage of time. So it's not just the big "Traumas" that Havening addresses, it's the cumulative small taumas that really have a detrimental impact on people's general health and well-being. This is where Havening can have an enormous impact.
What is Havening?
Havening is a psychosensory therapy that is designed to alter the brain in order to de-traumatize a negative or distressing memory & remove it's negative effe ts from our body & psyche.
Havening is an all-emcompassing therapy typically swift that can really reach the heart of people's issues. For most it facilitates an instant shift, for others it trakes a little longer. The process is very powerful on various levels, triggering biological, neurological, psychological & physiological changes within the body.
The Science Bit...
The science behind Havening means that coupled with gentle distraction techniques & touch, delta waves produced in the brain can remove the receptors off the neurons in the amyglada, which means it switches off or delinks the emotional or physical distress within the person.
So any stimulus or causes that was activating that phobia, that panic attack or that stressor can't activate it anymore because these receptors are are now completely gone for good.
Basically at the core of this science is the ability to erase or remove the emotional component of a traumatically encoded event or stressor. We are basically altering the neurochemical pathway of the brain.
