Hello my name is Sair (Sarah) Penna and I am a teacher, NVQ Assessor/Trainer and Life Coach. My specialised area is within the field of parent and life coaching, I hold a BA hons Degree in Early Childhood Studies which has given me underpinning knowledge on child development and pedagogy and have experience of supporting young and vulnerable families to promote better outcomes for families. I have experience in delivering antenatal and post natal parenting classes to this client group.
I also have extended experience of working with parents whose children have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences, (ACEs) specialising in advising them in Therapeutic Parenting Strategies, in order to strengthen the connection with their children and promote attachment and trust. My work has also extended to parents who have experienced the effects of prenatal or postnatal stress, specifically focusing on PTSD symptoms from illness or birth trauma.
I am experienced in working with individuals who are experiencing Compassion Fatigue, my work includes relieving the symptoms of Compassion Fatigue (including blocked care, exhaustion and secondary trauma) in order to overcome it, and promoting resilience through a healthy lifestyle, in order to prevent Compassion Fatigue. Within this areas I specialise in supporting parents and the supporting professionals who work with children who have experienced Developmental Trauma.
