Meet Your Training Team: Holli Engelhart, LICSW and Nicole Carreon, LMFT
Training with Holli Engelhart and Nicole Carreon offers an exceptional opportunity to learn Havening Techniques® from clinical experts with real-world trauma experience. Holli and Nicole are not only certified Havening trainers, but also seasoned mental health professionals who have spent years working directly with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, grief, nervous system dysregulation, and complex relational wounds. Their teaching is grounded in what works in direct client care settings, not just theory, and they bring Havening to life through a trauma-informed lens that reflects clinical best practices. Participants benefit from their extensive understanding of attachment-based care, nervous system regulation, evidence-based psychotherapy, and the application of Havening across outpatient and higher levels of care.
What does training entail?
Their training style is highly experiential, supportive, and practical over 3 days. You won’t simply observe demonstrations, you will engage in hands-on practice, receive individualized feedback, and leave with the confidence to implement Havening Techniques effectively right away. Holli and Nicole provide supervised practice opportunities, real-time clinical consultation, space for case questions and integration, and a trauma-informed learning environment designed to foster both competence and confidence. Their mentorship extends beyond the training weekend, which is particularly valuable for clinicians, healing professionals, and coaches who want to feel fully prepared to bring Havening into their work immediately following the course.
Training Bonuses:
In addition to the live in-person training experience, participants receive a robust set of bonuses designed to support ongoing growth and mastery. Registration includes a post-training personalized consultation with one-on-one support for clinical integration and questions. Trainees also receive exclusive access to a skill-building video library for continued learning, along with personalized assessment and real-time feedback to enhance confidence and technique refinement. The training emphasizes hands-on supervised practice with the trainers, a self-care packet for clinicians and clients, and your trainer can observe you live for in the moment feedback.
Integration with other modalities:
A distinctive strength of training with Holli and Nicole is their ability to thoughtfully integrate Havening Techniques within a wide range of established therapeutic frameworks. Between the two of them, they have advanced training and clinical experience in EMDR, I-CBT, CBT, MBSR, IFS, ACT, somatic approaches, attachment-based treatment, relational therapy, and other evidence-informed modalities. As a result, they are uniquely equipped to address nuanced clinical questions and demonstrate how Havening can serve as an effective “bolt-on” intervention that complements and enhances many existing treatment approaches.
Participants often ask important integration questions such as: How does Havening fit alongside EMDR? When would I choose Havening instead of another trauma tool? How do I incorporate Havening ethically into my current practice? What does this look like with complex trauma, dissociation, or high anxiety? Holli and Nicole provide clinically grounded answers that help you not only learn Havening, but also understand how to apply it confidently within your existing therapeutic orientation.
Holli and Nicole are passionate about training a diverse range of helping professionals, including healers, healthcare providers, coaches, holistic practitioners, and licensed clinicians, and creating strong, ongoing collaboration across disciplines to support ethical, integrative, and client-centered care.
