Introduction to Havening Techniques® Free Online Zoom Event
What if your brain is not reacting to the present, but predicting from the past?
Join Emma Ward, LCMFT and Lydia Lund, LSCSW for a one-hour introduction to Havening Techniques®, a psychosensory approach that uses touch, attention, and imagination to support regulation, resilience, and emotional healing.
This introductory event explores how stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, burnout, and overwhelming life experiences can become encoded in the brain and body — and how Havening Techniques® may help create new pathways of safety and regulation.
Participants will learn:
• How the brain predicts from past experiences
• Why distress can feel “stuck” in the nervous system
• The role of touch, attention, and memory in emotional healing
• How Havening may support resilience, calm, and emotional regulation
• Basic neuroscience principles behind the work
The event will also include a gentle live demonstration of Havening Techniques®. No personal disclosure or trauma processing is required.
This event is open to clinicians, coaches, ministry leaders, educators, caregivers, helping professionals, and anyone curious about neuroscience-informed, trauma-sensitive healing approaches.
