Robyn Elliott is a Mental Health Social Worker and family therapist in Melbourne, Australia with over 30 years' experience in the health and welfare field. As well as direct clinical practice, she is a university lecturer in family therapy, and regularly provides supervison, consultation and training to organisations, groups and individuals. She integrates knowledge and skills from a broad range of approaches including systems theory (family therapy), attachment theory, trauma theory, Internal Family Systems therapy, EMDR and now Havening. She has been practising Havening since learning the approach in May 2017.

Utilising lectures, live demonstration, and supervised practicums, this basic training workshop will cover:
• The encoding of traumatic memory
• How Havening works to "depotentiate" traumatic memory and enhance performance and functioning
• Preparations for Havening, including assessment and treatment planning
• Conducting a Havening session using either the Event Havening or Transpirational Havening protocols
• Conducting a session using Outcome Havening, Role Havening, Iffirmational Havening and Affirmational Havening
• Utilising Havening for personal use, resilience building and performance enhancement
• Factors which determine the selection of Havening protocols for different presentations

Suitable for health and welfare professionals including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychiatric nurses, coaches and any other practitioners seeking to improve their skills in addressing trauma and enhancing the potential of their clients. Some experience in counselling or coaching will be assumed.
